Replacing the Titan zebra connector.
Isabelle did notice that the Titan zebra strip could suffer severe damage either mechanical or through oxydization.
Therefore, she proposes to solder the 17 Titan internal connectors (board to board) to achieve a durable and reliable connection.
Isabelle's tip: Use ESD protection, leaded solder and the lowest possible soldering temperature. NO FLUX here please!
The Titan zebra strip can get damaged or corroded just like the Coconut one.
This strip is in fact a thin polyester piece stripped with fine parallel connectors.
Your best option is to solder the 17 connectors board to board.
0,5mm wrapping will be your best option.
Use LEAD-solder at low temperature only.
And...you'll get a reliable result.
